I have just started university in September doing Art and Design and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. I'm nearly finished my first semester, there's just one more project to go which is 'Dystopia/Utopia'. So far I've done four projects and a mini project, each one surprising me with how much work I can get done in two short weeks.
Here are my final pieces for the projects I've done so far:
Project 1 - Poor Art
Create a sculpture out of used and found objects that holds a meaning. I made glasses that show the ups and downs of life which is further illustrated by the name Yoyo (yoyo moves up and down).
Project 2 - Design
First week was obervation drawings and then the second was combining out obervation drawings in some form of design weather it was 2D or 3D.
Mini Project - Photography
For this project we had to take a photo and then print it out. It could be of anything as long as it was not a selfie.
Project 3 - Landscape/Place
I decided to do the Isle of Skye, Scotland for my landscape project as I visited there with my family during the summer holidays this year. I haven't really properly ainted landscape before so i wasn't sure how it would turn out but i'm very pleased witht he final piece.
Project 4 - Page
For this project, we had to make something out of the pages of a book. I looked at 'Alice Through The Looking Glass' and made a 3D illustration of the scene when Alice meets and shakes Humpty Dumpty's hand. It was quite difficult as I wasn't used to working with paper but my favourite project so far.
